Forum Groningen’s Disney: Telling Timeless Stories

In spring 2023, I was commissioned by FineTune Audio to provide voiceover narration for nineteen historical excerpts featured in Disney: Telling Timeless Stories, an international exhibition presented by Walt Disney Animation Studios at Forum Groningen in the Netherlands. The exhibition explored the creative process behind the studios’ most iconic films, showcasing storyboards, concept art, animation drawings, background paintings, and archival materials connected to characters and stories including Snow White, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Robin Hood, Frozen, and others.

My role was to voice and record clear, engaging voiceovers that supported the exhibition’s storytelling experience and helped guide visitors through the historical and artistic context behind selected works.

The included audio sample features one of the nineteen narrated excerpts from the exhibition. This selection explores the history of Pinocchio through the lens of an unreleased animation cel by legendary Disney animator Ollie Johnston, providing a representative example of the educational storytelling used throughout the visitor experience.

The project required a warm, polished narration style that could complement museum-grade educational content while preserving the sense of wonder associated with Disney’s animation legacy. The exhibition was open to the public at Forum Groningen from April 22 through September 10, 2023.
