The Art of DC: The Dawn of Superheroes

In 2022, I was commissioned by FineTune Audio to provide voiceover narration for The Art of DC – The Dawn of Super Heroes, a major international exhibition presented at Forum Groningen in the Netherlands. The exhibition brought visitors into the world of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and other iconic DC heroes and villains through original comic artwork, film concept art, costumes, props, film clips, and interviews.

My role was to record narration for a 20-segment history of DC Comics, supporting the visitor experience with clear, engaging storytelling that helped connect the exhibition’s artwork and artifacts to the larger mythology of DC’s characters.

The included audio sample features the Superman segment from the project. This narration offers a representative excerpt from the 20-segment DC Comics history recorded for the Forum Groningen exhibition.

Forum Groningen’s presentation featured more than 160 original drawings, 200 artworks, dozens of original costumes and film props, and notable pieces including the Batmobile, Bat Pod, Jack Nicholson’s Joker suit, Christopher Reeve’s Superman cape, and Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman costumes. The exhibition was on display from July 30, 2022 through March 26, 2023.
