It’s Christmas time, again! This time of year, I’m always nostalgic for the games I received for Christmas as a kid – Super Mario Brothers, Megaman, Zelda and other classics. What better way to marry these games and Christmas music than to arrange a chiptune Christmas album? So, here it is!

“A Magical 8-Bit Christmas” is a collection of classic Christmas songs arranged in a chiptune/8-bit style, using YMCK’s Magical 8bit Plug. Thanks YMCK!

I hope this album brings back fond memories of Christmases gone by and helps to create new ones as well! Merry Christmas!

Chaotic Calamity

“Chaotic Calamity” is a heart pounding, action packed, loopable orchestral soundtrack featuring a blend of styles. The theme is reminiscent of the battle music from the Final Fantasy game series, but includes a sprinkling influence of Danny Elmann’s Beetlejuice soundtrack. The tone is dark, even morose, but is fun and adventurous as well.

This soundtrack may have many uses. It would work well as battle music in a fantasy themed video game. It could also work well in films and advertisements of a similar style.

The catchy motifs are bound to get stuck in a player’s head, and the call and answer methods keep the tune from becoming too repetitive.
